CU Paper Snow Flake Freebie

Have you made these .. fold paper, that cut out bits, unfold and then you have a beautiful snowflake!

My kids have been making heaps of these lately, I think William learnt how to do them at school and the older two boys joined the band wagon!

So I have scanned them, and been playing around getting them ready to use digitally. The will be subscriber items, but I have the first one for you all to try as a sample. The zip file contains, the original flake as a PNG, and desaturated PNG file, a layered PSD file with clipping mask, and a sample item that I made with it. It has been folded and handcut by Thomas, my middle boy, and he is pleased as punch I have used his first!

Freebie Template

Well, my computer time has been a little more lean than usual lately, the power adapter for my computer died and I was unable to do too much at a time.

But now I have a new one, so I am back at it!

Scribble Template Freebie

Ok, I know I have given you one freebie already, but I thought I would upload another one for you seeing as tomorrow will be busy with moving :)

The layout I have created is with a Subscription Kit that will be uploaded over the next couple of days, I just have to package it up and find the time to upload everything! The kit is called Swirls are for Boys Too, and it is an older one that I have completely remodelled.

I created another scribbly photo mask frame for you, I am quite enjoying playing with these!

New Template!

Well it has been a little while since I just made a plain template, and I was inspired by a few layouts I have seen around the place that have the photo in an irregular object.

This is the layout I did with the template, you will notice that I used the Spirit of Summer Collaboration in support of the Victims of the Victorian Bushfires, 2009.

An oldie but a goodie .. bookmark freebie

I had every intention of making some new bookmarks to give away, and that may still happen, but whilst sorting and tidying up files I found these ones I made, and gave away on my old blog. I realised that I haven't added them to the Freebie Section on the site, so .. here they are. Obviously there are blank spaces where my children's faces currently are! Good Morning All.

WARNING .. bit of a large blog post today, but it is worth it, promise .. hehe

I have spent the last hour sitting by myself in a quiet house as the rest of them sleep. Although I am not overly impressed by being woken up by a 5 year old stealing my pillow, I am quite happy that I have had a quiet house to myself for an hour. Jordan has just stumbled up saying he isn't well, he is not the healthiest of children I guess (it is hard to admit that), having a chronic illness takes it out of him and although the Parotitis doesn't physically affect him all the time, he does sometimes just get exhausted. It is the end of the school year, we have had a huge few weeks with Scout Camps and Hikes, they had their Year 5 Quiz night last, aptly named "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?", which has been the culmination of a term of research work they have done (a very clever way their teachers have got them keen to write reports). Anyway I digress, but I just think he has had enough, not decided if I will give him the day off, I don't want him to learn he can just cop out, but on the other side I need to remember that his body works so hard to keep him healthy and he just gets tired.

Ok, enough of the family drama, lol, I do have a freebie for you this morning. But first ... did you gather the freebies from the Christmas Around the World Collaboration that Fishinmom coordinated last year? Well, if you didn't don't worry, you have the chance to gather up this years. I have no idea how many designers we are up to that have put their hand up, but there is only 3-4 days to go before you can start downloading.To give you a little sneak peak I have had my preview up there in the left hand cornerof my screen .. it hasn't been very big so I thought I would show you a larger preview.

So keep an eye out on Friday 12th Dec when it all goes live (remember to take into consideration timezones) and get ready to download! All the downloads are available from 12th Dec to the 31st Dec, so you do have a couple of weeks to get them all! YAY I can't wait :)

Now for my freebie today ..

Well first the kit that the freebie comes from. Yesterday I posted the first two layouts of Jordan's Digital Scout Album, I am going to get the album printed up in one of Frogprints spiral albums, I have been very happy with them so far. I have tried a few different companies, but here in Australia they seem to be quick and good quality and a great range of products (hmm unsolicited plug there, but I have loved them!).

So the kit is Kids Stuff and will be available for Subscribers Only. Here are the previews (and remember that subscription is only $5.00AUD, approx $3.35 USD with the current exchange rate, for 6 months access, including Commercial Use Items).

Well two freebies in one day! How about that? lol .. I created my first template in ages, I wanted to do some scrapping, but I got distracted with the template. I know I could have waited until tomorrow to give it to you, but I just couldn't wait! Everything is on separate layers so you can use the glitter 'Christmas 2008' wordart and Christmas Tree on other layouts.

I finally set up my Greeting Card Universe Widget, you can see it here. Greeting Card Universe is fantastic, you can choose a card, and type in your greetings and they get printed and sent to you! You can even get them sent straight to the person you are sending it to. The widget shows small previews, I will be adding larger ones in the coming days!

Template 19 for your Scrapping Pleasure

Well we went to the National Zoo & Aquarium today, it was a lovely day, even quite warm! The Zoo was good fun, but I found the Aquarium a bit creepy, it was quite disconcerting looking that close to some of those huge fish!

I took photos, of course, but I haven't downloaded them from the camera yet. Will get to that!

Hi from Adelaide and a new template

Well I am writing this blog plost from Adelaide. I am here to do an intensive course at Uni .. Interventions in Trauma .. or something like that. Going to be a full on week I think. Plus everyone that I am trying to squeeze in catching up with, what a nightmare really .. good fun, just busy. Think I am going to go back to Canberra more exhausted than I came here!

Anyway before I left Canberra I finished up a new template for you, and uploaded it to the server so that I could post it from Adelaide. Wasn't I thinking ahead? I am so impressed with myself really.

So here is the Layout I created .. of one of my beautiful nieces ..
